Got 3000 miles on my last set if tires. Will only purchase Gatorskins. No tire is puncture resistant but these wear great. I roll on 25mm, like the wider tire, rolls smooth.
As a former Cat II racer who is just getting back into cycling after 15 years of sitting on the couch, I was looking to replace the dry rotted Vittoria Corsa CX tires on my racing bike. Not wanting to spend the money on the new CXs, I decided to try the Conti Giros. After 400 miles, the tires are holding up nicely. They corner well, show good traction in wet condition and seem to hold air pressure. While I am not sure that I would race on them, for training and fast rec rides, they are a fabulous value. Time will tell if thay rate 5 stars.
I am hard on tires. I always have been. I am 230lbs and won't ever see the south side of 200 since I am quite tall and have a large bone structure. So, I have lots of flats. I went with tubulars due to romance and an effort to reduce flats. These tires have fit the less flats bill perfectly. Wile I can get around 1500 miles of commuting and fun rides out of the rear, the front is over 3000 miles and it isn't showing signs of being anywhere near done yet.
